Align and distribute objects
Another task that we will have to perform repeatedly in vector graphics editing programs is the alignment of objects. It has many variations, but it is easy to do. Basically it consists of aligning the objects with respect to another. Typically, objects line up, for example, to the right of the furthest to the right , or to the left of the furthest to the left .
But this menu has a very interesting option, which is the "Relative to" top menu that allows us to choose who the alignment is made with:
And so you can choose between the first or last selected object, the largest object, the smallest, etc. In addition, the icons that have a yellow square indicate that they are aligned to the left, right, above or below the object that functions as "anchor", which is precisely the one that we find in the "Relative to" menu.
