José Manuel Alonso

Jose Manuel Alonso is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Cantabria. He holds an MSc and PhD in Economics from the University of the Basque Country, University of Cantabria and University of Oviedo, and was visiting researcher in the Cardiff Business School at Cardiff University (UK).
His research interests include public service performance and public sector reform, with an emphasis on privatization, marketization and decentralization. He has recently published in leading academic journals including Strategic Management Journal, World Development and Public Administration, among others.
